Is hunting bad… a question that has been debated for years, one high school student will attempt to build hype in this sentence in order to hook you, the reader. Can he do it? Read on and find out.
In my opinion, hunting is not immoral. Hunting has been overly exaggerated be media, to an extent where even the dullest of people can see through it. For instance, when Bambi’s mother dies from a hunter’s bullet, you see a sad little look on the face of the baby deer and the teary eyes of the mom deer. Have you ever seen those looks on a fish?
There has been almost no movies that make fishing look bad, which in reality is solidly the same as hunting animals with shot guns. In the movie Finding Nemo , where the baby fish gets taken away, the fish is not violently caught with a hook shoved through its face is it? No, it is gently carried into their boat and placed into a bag and almost given to a little girl for her birthday.
An argument to my last paragraph could be: “but they shouldn’t have violence in kid’s movies like that”. Have you seen My Dog Skip ? There’s a scene where a cute little dog gets beaten with his owner’s hand, and where the dog gets bashed with a shovel. That movie starred Frankie Muinez, who has been in countless “Disney Channel” movies.
In conclusion, I believe people should cut back on hunting, but there really is no room for vegetarians to protest hunting when they fish for themselves. Also, never trust the media.
